How to request data exports, understand retention policies, and submit HIPAA-related data subject requests.
NeuralRev supports formal data requests for exports, retention inquiries, and HIPAA-regulated data subject access. All requests are handled within documented SLA timelines.
Data Exports
You can request a full export of your workspace data at any time.
What's Included

How to Request
- Submit a support ticket with category Data Request
- Specify the workspace(s) and date range
- Our team will prepare a secure, encrypted export file
- You'll receive a time-limited download link via email
Export files are delivered in JSON or CSV format depending on the data type. Large exports may be split into multiple files.
Data Retention
NeuralRev retains data according to healthcare regulatory requirements and your organization's configuration.

After the retention period expires, data is permanently deleted in accordance with our data destruction policy.
HIPAA Data Subject Requests
As a covered entity or business associate, you may need to fulfill patient data subject requests. NeuralRev supports the following:
Right of Access
Patients can request a copy of their protected health information (PHI). To fulfill this:
- Submit a data request ticket specifying the patient identifier
- NeuralRev will compile all PHI associated with that individual
- Data is delivered in a machine-readable format within 30 days
Right of Amendment
If a patient requests correction of their PHI:
- Submit an amendment request with the specific records and corrections
- Our team will update the records and propagate changes to downstream claims
- An audit entry is automatically created for the amendment
Right of Deletion
In cases where deletion is legally permissible:
- Submit a deletion request specifying the patient and scope
- Legal review confirms the request doesn't conflict with retention requirements
- Eligible data is permanently removed within 30 days
